Being a long-time MacBook user, I know how hard it is to switch back Windows. I was for a Windows laptop that offers something close to the MacBook experience but on a budget of INR 50,000-60,000. After loads of research, I landed on the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro. Guess what? It has been a delightful surprise.

The first thing about the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro that grabbed my attention? Its design. It’s sleek—just 11.2mm thick and weighs only 0.87 kg! Slimmer and lighter than a MacBook, it’s super portable. The build quality is spot-on with an aluminum lid and soft-touch plastic bottom that just feels premium. I went with the white version since it stays cleaner compared to the black which shows smudges.
Display: A Visual Treat
The display is another stunner in the Galaxy Book 2 Pro. It boasts a Samsung AMOLED panel famous for vibrant colors, deep blacks & excellent contrast. Plus, its color accuracy is top-notch, supporting 120% DCI-P3 color volume—perfect for tasks like photo editing. The brightness is just right, and the adaptive color feature adjusts color temperature based on your surroundings (similar to Apple’s True Tone).
Audio and Ports
Galaxy Book 2 Pro doesn’t disappoint in audio either. It has dual 4-watt speakers tuned by AKG with Dolby Atmos support. They may not be super loud but they deliver clear & precise sound. The laptop also comes with a good mix of ports—Thunderbolt 4 port, USB 3.0 Type-C port, full-size HDMI port & MicroSD reader among others. Plus, it includes a full HD webcam with dual mics for crisp audio during video calls.
Keyboard and Touchpad
A solid keyboard & touchpad are must-haves for work laptops, and this one delivers. The keyboard is backlit with three brightness levels, offering comfortable typing with good key travel & minimal noise. The touchpad is smooth glass that’s responsive and easy to navigate.
Performance: Good Enough for Everyday Use
Performance-wise, this laptop might not be everyone’s cup of tea. It’s powered by an Intel Core i5-1240P processor with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. While it’s not the most powerful in its range, it handles daily tasks like web browsing, document editing & even light photo editing quite well. For more demanding tasks or gaming? You might need something beefier.
Battery Life and Charging
Battery life stands out too—the Galaxy Book 2 Pro has a 63Wh battery lasting around 6.5 to 7 hours on one charge! Pretty decent for work usage. The compact 65W USB-C charger juices up the laptop quickly—super handy for those always on-the-go.
Software Experience
Running on Windows 11, this laptop comes pre-loaded with several apps; some useful if you’re into the Samsung ecosystem but if not? You can always uninstall them.
Conclusion
When the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro launched in 2022, it seemed pricey—I get that. But now? At its current price point? It’s great value! While it’s not the top performer in its segment—it surely stands out as one of the most premium & ultra-thin options under INR 60k! Everything about this laptop oozes quality—from design & display to keyboard & battery life. If you’re after a stylish yet efficient work laptop—Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro deserves your attention.
